After many years of battling with major retailers over wholesale/retail prices for his custom wall art pieces, John Raymond decided to look for another way to share his love of wall art designs for the modern rustic home. He approaced his nephew, Craig, for some advice. Craig had experience with helping small businesses get found online, and after reviewing John's artwork and his goals, he pointed him to Etsy. So, in November of 2020, John's wall art business, Raymond Designs, took to Etsy and became FarmhouseWallArt!

After three months of selling on Etsy and working with almost 70 customers, we've learned a thing or two and are putting that new knowledge to work to streamline our Etsy shop. John initially thought that his ability to create personalized wall art would draw wall art shoppers, but instead, he found that folks are often searching for popular designs that are commonly sold, but often at very high price points. So, to reduce production costs and thereby lower product prices, we're cutting back on the number of designs we offer and offering the most popular pieces at the lowest prices possible! We'll continue to learn and improve upon on our Etsy processes so that we can share our passion with as many Etsy-ers as we can!
